Jun Olman’s artistic practice unfolds at the intersection of memory, geometry, and craftsmanship. Her work stems from an ongoing inquiry into how objects, materials, and images retain the imprint of time, transforming this exploration into a visual language that moves fluidly between painting, drawing, textiles, sculpture, and original design.
The material occupies a central place in their research. Recycled paper, charcoal, wood, pedal-loom woven cotton, wool, natural fibers, and artisanal processes become tools for establishing a dialogue between ancestral knowledge and contemporary thought.
His textile investigations reveal a constant interest in exploring how an image can encompass multiple temporalities simultaneously: each work proposes an open reading in which form is never merely formal, but also a structure through which to reflect on dwelling, the body, and contemplation.
Jun Olman’s work has been exhibited internationally in museums, galleries, and art and design fairs across Mexico, the United States, Canada, Peru, and Germany. His projects have been featured on platforms such as Art Toronto, Future Fair New York, Outsider Art Fair, Pinta PArC, Quipo Art Fair, and Design Week Mexico. In 2025, he received the Premio Nacional de Diseño: Diseña México for the piece *Hairry*—an honor that reaffirms a practice situated at the intersection of art, design, and craftsmanship.
